WHAT TO PACK FOR A WEEKEND TRIP

Hey babes! ¿Qué tal todo? Hoy os traigo un post algo distinto, se trata de qué meter en la maleta para un viaje de fin de semana. No sé vosotros pero a mí me encanta preparar de vez en cuando algún viaje de fin de semana (aunque no lo hago todo lo que me gustaría 😅). Para viajes tan cortos lo normal es llevar una maleta pequeñita o en caso de viajar en avión llevar solo equipaje de mano. Así que en el post de hoy os voy a dar algunas ideas sobre qué prendas llevar y la mejor forma de optimizar el espacio en la maleta 😉 ¡Empezamos!

Hey babes! How you're doing? Today I have for you a little bit different post, it's about what to pack for a weekend trip. I don't know about you but I love to make weekends trips once in a while (even though I don't do them as often as I would want to 😅). For these short trips it's better to carry a little suitcase or if you're travelling on the plane a carry-on bag. So in today's post I'm going to give you some examples of pieces you can take with you and how to pack them 😉 Let's start!

En la imagen os enseño un ejemplo de lo que me yo me llevaría a un viaje de este tipo en esta época más o menos, ya que no es ropa demasiado abrigada. Son outfits sencillos formados por prendas muy cómodas que combinan muy bien entre sí. Lo importante es llevarse unas cuantas prendas que se puedan combinar de distinta manera para así llevar menos ropa y conseguir formar más outfits 😉Otro asunto esencial me parece llevar calzado cómodo ya que en estos viajes se suele andar bastante. Para mí unas zapatillas y unos botines son el calzado más cómodo. Además de la maleta también me parece muy útil llevar un bolso grande en el que te quepan muchas cosas (como la cámara de fotos). 

La mejor manera de guardar todo en la maleta es enrollando la ropa. De esta manera cabe mucho más y la ropa no se arruga. Desde que vi este truco en un vídeo de Youtube lo hago siempre y os puedo asegurar que funciona de maravilla! 😉 Otra cosa obvia (o no tan obvia) es llevar puestas las prendas que más ocupen, como los botines o la cazadora, para así tener más espacio en la maleta.

In the image I show you an example of what I would take with me on a weekend trip. These are simple outfits with some comfy pieces. The key is packing different pieces that combine well together so you can have less clothes and still have different outfits 😉 Another important thing is wearing comfy shoes because in these trips you tend to walk a lot. For me a pair of sneakers and boots are the best option. Also I think is very useful to carry with you a big bag where you can keep some things such as the camera.

The best way to organized everything in the suitcase is to roll up the clothes. You can save a lot of space with this trick. I always do that and I can assure you that it works wonders!😉 Another obvious thing (or not that obvious) is to wear the biggest and heaviest pieces, like boots and coats. That way you will have more space in the suitcase.

WHERE TO SHOP IN PARIS + HAUL

Hey babes! ¿Qué tal todo? Como habéis podido ver en alguno de mis posts anteriores, este verano he pasado una semana en París. Tenía muchísimas ganas de ir ya que era mi primera vez en la ciudad, y además de ver en persona todos los monumentos que siempre había visto en fotografías, también tenía ganas de ver las tiendas de allí y comprarme alguna cosita 😉 Así que en el post de hoy os cuento mis sitios favoritos en los que ir de compras de en París y también os enseño lo que me compré. ¡No os olvidéis de apuntarlos para que podáis ir en vuestro próximo viaje! 😉

Hey babes! How you're doing? As you can already see in some of my previous posts, I went to Paris for a week. I really wanted to go and besides seeing all the monuments that I've always seen in pictures, I also wanted to do a little bit of shopping 😉 So in today's post I'm going to tell you my favourite places to go shopping in Paris and I also show you what I got. Don't forget to write them down for your next Paris trip! 😉

KILO SHOP (VINTAGE SHOP)

Empezamos con una de las tiendas a las que más ganas tenía de ir: Kilo Shop. Antes del viaje busqué cuales eran las mejores tiendas vintage en París y una de las que más aparecía era esta. Yo compré en la tienda que está en el barrio Le Marais (65 Rue de la Verrerie) y la verdad es que es enorme!! Además son dos tiendas casi contiguas por lo que puedes pasarte un buen rato buscando joyas vintage. La peculiaridad de esta tienda es que el precio de la ropa va por kilos. Cada prenda tiene una etiqueta de color (ej. 20€/kg, 30€/kg) y tú solo tienes que ir a alguna de las básculas que hay por la tienda y pesar tu prenda para saber el precio. Yo me compré esta mini falda de polipiel y me costó solo 6,80€ y no me puede gustar más! 😉 Mi madre se compró un vestido de Desigual por 18€, cuando en una tienda normal cuestan muchísimo más. Si os gusta la ropa vintage os recomiendo que vayáis, además cerca de esta tienda podéis encontrar unas cuantas más vintage 😉

Let's start with one of the shops I wanted to go: Kilo Shop. Before the trip I did a little bit of research to find the best vintage shops in Paris and I found this one. I went to the one in Le Marais (65 Rue de la Verrerie) and it's huge! There are two shops next to other so you can spend some time looking for vintage gems. One weird thing about the shop is that the price goes in kilos. Each piece has a color tag (ex. 20€/kg, 30€/kg) and you only have to go to one of the weighing machines in the shop to weigh your piece to know the price. I got this black mini skirt for only 6,80€ and I really liked it! 😉 My mom got a Desigual dress for only 18€, when it other shops is so much expensive. If you like vintage clothes this is your place. Also near this one you can find some more vintage shops to go 😉

ATELIER CHAUSSURES (5, Rue du Renard)

Esta tienda de zapatos la encontré por casualidad mientras andábamos por Le Marais. Está justo al lado de Kilo Shop. En cuanto pasé por el escaparate supe que tenía que entrar (y no fue solo por el gran cartel de rebajas que había jajaja). Tenía muchísimas botas y zapatillas preciosas a muy buen precio. Pero lo que me enamoró nada más verlos fueron estos botines con tachuelas 😍 Son muy parecidos a estos de Chloé y lo mejor es que estaban rebajados al 50% y sólo me costaron 30€ 😉 Si estáis por la zona os recomiendo que paséis porque de verdad que tenían un montón de zapatos que merecían la pena!

I found this shoe shop while we were walking around Le Marais. It's near just near Kilo Shop. As soon as I saw the shopwindow I knew I had to walk in (and it wasn't only for the big sales poster hahaha). It had some many cool boots and sneakers at good price. But I fell in love with these studded little boots 😍 They are quite similar to these ones from Chloé and the best part is they were half price so I got them for 30€ 😉 If you are around I really recommend you to go because they had a lot of cute shoes! 

GALERIES LAFAYETTE (40 Boulevard Haussmann)

No te puedes ir de París sin pasar por las famosas Galerías Lafayette. Merece la pena entrar porque el edificio por dentro tiene una cúpula que no se ve por fuera y es preciosa. Ahí puedes comprar ropa y accesorios de todas las grandes marcas como Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior, etc. Tiene muchísimas marcas de ropa también un poco más asequibles. En una de las plantas superiores tiene una zona de papelería y librería que fue una de las que más me gustó. También os recomiendo subir a su azotea ya que tiene muy buenas visitas 😊

You can't go to Paris and miss the famous Galeries Lafayette. It's worth going inside the building because it has a dome that can't see on the outside. It's pretty cool. You do a little bit of luxury shopping at Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior, etc. But it also has some less expensive brands. It also has a stationery and books zone which I really liked. I also recommend going to the rooftop because it has some good views 😊

SHAKESPEARE & CO (37 Rue de la Bûcherie)

Hace mucho tiempo que sabía que quería ir a esta librería cuando fuera a París. Había oído hablar mucho de ella en diferentes libros y blogs así que tenía muchas ganas de ir. Tengo que decir que no me decepcionó nada, es una librería preciosa! 😍 Está situada en el Kilómetro Cero de París (justo al lado de Notre Dame) y todos sus libros están en inglés. Abrió en 1951 y durante mucho tiempo acogió a escritores y artistas que podían dormir ahí a cambio de ayudar en la librería. Tiene muchísimos libros de todos los temas y sin duda merece mucho la pena acercarse! Yo me compré el libro que veis más abajo (aunque sinceramente me habría comprado 10 más 😉).

I knew I wanted to go to this library in my first trip to Paris. I've read a lot of things about it in different books and blogs. I have to say that it didn't disappoint me at all, it's super cute! It's located in the Zero Kilometre of Paris (near Notre Dame) and all of the books are in English. It opened in 1951 and a lot of writers and artist were invited to sleep there but they had to help in the bookstore. It has a lot of books about everything and it's totally worth the visit! I got a book you can see below (but I would have bought 10 more 😉)

DISNEYLAND PARIS

Vale, esto no es una tienda. Pero es que no podía hacer un post sobre donde comprar en París y no ponerlo. Yo pasé un día entero en Disney y aparte de las muchas atracciones que hay, también hay muchísimas tiendas! A mí me encantan todas las cosas de Disney y allí tienen todo lo que te puedas imaginar: desde disfraces y pijamas, hasta joyería y vajillas. Eso sí, está todo bastante caro. Yo tenía claro que no quería irme de Disney sin un recuerdo, así que me compré esta camiseta de Minnie que yo me pongo para dormir. ¡No me puede gustar más! 😍

Ok, I know this is not a shop. But I couldn't write a post about shopping in Paris without mention it. I spent a whole day in Disney and apart from all the attractions, there are a lot of shops! I really like all things Disney related and they have everything you can imagine: from costumes and pijamas, to jewlery and crockery. But I have to say it's pretty expensive. I knew that I couldn't leave without a little souvenir so I got this oversized Minnie T-shirt that I use as a pijama. I love it! 😍

FOREVER 21 (144 Rue de Rivoli)

Me encanta Forever 21 y aquí en España no hay, así que cada vez que voy a un país donde lo tienen me gusta pasarme a echar un vistazo. Esta tienda es bastante grande y aunque al final no me compré nada tenía cosas bastante interesantes 😉

I love Forever 21 and we don't have that shop in Spain so whenever I go to another country I like to make a visit. This shop was pretty big but in the end I didn't buy anything, although it had some interesting stuff.

Y por supuesto, no podía acabar el post sin recomendaros que os compréis alguna revista de moda. A mí me encantan este tipo de revistas y tengo en casa una colección demasiado bastante grande, así que tenía que hacerme con una sí o sí. Me compré la Vogue Paris y también la revista Glamour, que venía con una camiseta de Zadig & Voltaire de regalo 😉. Yo las compré en un kiosko de los Campos Elíseos pero las podéis conseguir en cualquier sitio, incluso en el aeropuerto.

And of course, I couldn't end the post without recommending you to buy some fashion magazines. I love this kind of magazines and I have a pretty big collection at home, so I needed to buy some. I got the Vogue Paris and the Glamour magazine because it came with a Zadig & Voltaire T-shirt 😉 I got them at a stand in the Champs Elysées but you can get them anywhere in Paris, even at the airport.

SHORTS + CARDIGAN OUTFIT

Hey babes! ¿Qué tal todo? Hoy os traigo un post rápido con un outfit. Los shorts son de Zaful y la verdad es que me quedan muy pequeños 😓 Me cogí la talla M, que según las medidas de la web era mi talla, pero me quedan súper pequeños. No podía casi ni subirlos y me aprietan mucho. Así que si queréis compraros pantalones en Zaful cogeos una talla más de la que utilicéis normalmente porque tallan muy pequeño.

El cardigan que llevo me encanta, porque es de muy buena calidad y abriga bastante. Es perfecto para otoño. Y como no, llevo una camiseta de rayas. Es mi estampado favorito y tendría mil prendas con rayas de todo tipo 😉  ¿Qué os parece?

Hey babes! How you’re doing? Today I have for you a quick outfit post. The shorts are from Zaful but they are too small for me 😓 I got a size M, which was my size according to the web’s size guide, but they doesn’t fit me at all. I almost couldn’t make them pass over my thighs and they are super tight. So if you want to order some bottoms at Zaful you must get a size up because their pieces are pretty small. They have also a lot more of high waist jeans shorts.

I love the cardigan I’m wearing. It has a really good quality and it keeps you warm. It’s the perfect piece for fall. And of course I had to wear a striped T-shirt. It’s my all time favourite print and I would have thousands of printed pieces in my wardrobe ;) So what do you think about the outfit?

Era mi primera vez en la ciudad y ¡me encantó todo! 😍 No me he podido quedar más enamorada de la ciudad, además estuvimos una semana por lo que nos dio tiempo a visitar muchas cosas. Pronto haré más posts recomendando sitios y lugares de París 😊 No me enrollo más y vamos con los outfits!

Hey babes! How you’re doing? In todays post I have for you a recopilation of all my Paris outfits. It was my first time in the city and I just loved it! 😍 I totally fell in love with the city. We stayed for a week so we got time to see a lot of things. I will publish soon more posts about the places you can visit there 😊 And now, let’s start with the outfits!

DAY 1

Llegamos a París sobre las 11 de la mañana y después de dejar las maletas en nuestro apartamento nos fuimos ya a ver la ciudad. Visitamos el Louvre (solo por fuera, ya que teníamos previsto entrar otro día), el Jardin des Tuileries, el Grand Palais, la Place Vendôme, el Ponte Alexandre III y callejeamos mucho mucho. Solo necesité un día para enamorarme de la ciudad.

We arrived in Paris around 11am so we went to left the luggage in our apartment, and then we started to walk the city. We went to the Louvre (just the outside because we planned to go inside another day), the Jardin des Tuileries, the Grand Palais, the Place Vendôme and the Pont Alexandre III. We walked a lot hahaha. I just needed one day to fell in love with the city.

DAY 2

En nuestro segundo día teníamos ya que ir a la Torre Eiffel 😉 Teníamos cita para subir a la torre al medio día así que por la mañana fuimos a la Avenue Montaigne, la calle donde están todas las tiendas de alta costura. ¡Fue genial! Después pasamos por el Palais de Tokyo y ya nos dirigimos al Trocadéro para ver desde allí la Torre Eiffel y hacernos muchas fotos 😉 Después subimos a la Torre Eiffel, ¡hasta arriba del todo! Por la tarde visitamos el Arco de Triunfo y también subimos para admirar las vistas. Cuando bajamos nos dimos un breve paseo por los Champs-Élysées, porque estábamos agotados. Pero fue un gran día 😉 Respecto al outfit, estoy enamorada del mono que llevo! 😍 La cazadora es preciosa y me la compré en Zara Kids en rebajas por solo 12.95€. ¡Un chollazo!

In our second day we had to go to the Eiffel Tower 😉 We had an appointment to go up at midday so we got the whole morning free. We decided to go to Avenue Montaigne, the street where all of the high end designers have their shop (Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton). It was great! We also went to the Palais de Tokyo and then we head over the Trocadéro to admire the Eiffel Tower and take a lot of pictures!😉 Then we got up the tower, it was sooo high! In the afternoon we went to the Arc du Triomphe and also climb to the top to see the views. We we got down we walked around the Champs-Élysées, but we were super tired. It was a great day! 😉 And about the outfit, I’m in love with this romper! 😍 The biker jacket is so cool and I got it ton sales on Zara Kids for just 12.95€. A total bargain!

DAY 3 

En nuestro tercer día por la mañana visitamos las catacumbas, aunque tuvimos que hacer 3 horas de cola 😌 Después de comer fuimos a Notre Dame y a una pequeña librería que hay justo enfrente, Shakespeare & Co. Es una librería antigua con libros en inglés y os recomiendo mucho que vayáis a verla, es preciosa. A continuación nos dirigimos al Panteón y después al Jardin du Luxembourg, que me encantó 😍

In the morning of our third day we visited the Catacombes after 3 hours of waiting 😌 After having lunch we went to Notre Dame and a little library called  Shakespeare & Co. It's just in front Notre Dame and they have all books in English. It's super cute. Then we head over the Pantheon and the Jardin du Luxembourg, which was super nice 😍

DAY 4

En nuestro cuarto día fuimos temprano a la Sainte-Chapelle y fuimos los primeros en llegar! La verdad es que es un sitio increíble. Después fuimos de nuevo a Notre Dame ya que el día anterior no habíamos podido subir a las torres. ¡Os recomiendo mucho que subáis, merece la pena! Por la tarde nos dedicamos a hacer algunas compras en el barrio Les Marais y después nos dirigimos a la Rue Crémieux, una calle con casitas preciosas de colores. Yo la había visto recomendada en varios blogs así que si tenéis tiempo os animo a que os paséis! Para este día llevé mi outfit favorito de todo el viaje, y es que no me puede gustar más 😍 ¿Qué os parece a vosotras?

On our fourth day we got up really early and went to Sainte-Chapelle. We were the first to arrived! It's a really cool place. Then we went again to Notre Dame to climb up to the towers. I really recommend it, it's so worth it. In the afternoon we went for a little bit of shopping around Les Marais and then went to the Rue Crémieux, a street with colored houses. I've seen it on other blogs so if you have time I suggest you stop by. For this day I wore my favourite outfit 😍 What do you think about it?

DAY 5

Y por fin llegó el día de ir a DisneyLand!! No sabéis las ganas que tenía de ir, y eso que tengo 20 años jajaja. Nos hizo muy buen tiempo y pasamos un gran día. Desde luego os recomiendo muchísimo que vayáis porque es alucinante! 😍 Seguramente haré un post con todos mis tips para los que queráis ir 😉 Yo llevé ropa cómoda porque nos pasamos el día andando de un lado para otro.

And finally it was time for DisneyLand!! I really wanted to go, even though I'm 20 years old hahaha. We had a really good weather and spent a great day. Of course I recommend you go, it's amazing! 😍 I'm thinking about writing a post with all of my tips in case you want to go 😉 I wore some comfy pieces because we spent the whole day walking.

DAY 6 

El sexto día nos fuimos pasarlo entero a Versalles para ver el palacio y los jardines. Tuvimos muy mala suerte ya que hizo un día horrible con frío, viento y lluvia. Esperamos 3 horas de cola para poder entrar y dentro del palacio no podías ni moverte de la gente que había... así que no pudimos disfrutar bien de la visita. Cuando quisimos salir a los jardines empezó a llover mucho y hacía bastante viento también así que pudimos ver poquito… De este día no tengo fotos mi look 😖

We spent our sixth day in Versalles to see the palace and gardens. We had really bad luck because it was raining all day, and it was cold and windy. We waited 3 hours to get inside... and when were inside you couldn't even move because it was crowded! It was raining too when we went to the gardens so we couldn't see much of them... Sorry but I don't have outfits pictures from this day 😖

DAY 7

En nuestro penúltimo día visitamos el Sacré Coeur. Yo tenía muchísimas ganas de ir y no me decepcionó nada. ¡Es una pasada! También subimos a las torres 😉 Cuando bajamos nos acercamos al Mur des je t’aime, que es una pared que tiene escrito ‘Te quiero’ en todos los idiomas del mundo. Es algo curioso de ver, sin duda. Dimos un paseo también por Montmartre, que es un barrio precioso. También nos acercamos el Moulin Rouge, aunque no tiene mucho que ver tampoco. Esa tarde cayó una tormenta así que decidimos refugiarnos en las Galerias Lafayette. Os recomiendo que os asoméis a verla, porque tiene una cúpula preciosa y también se puede subir a la azotea. Cuando paró de llover nos acercamos un momentito a ver la Opera Garnier por fuera.

In our seventh day we visited Sacré Coeur. I really wanted to go and I wasn't disappointed at all. It's beautiful! We also went to the tower's top 😉 When we got down we visited the Mur des je t'aime, a wall with 'I love you' written in every language in the world. It's pretty cool. We also went to the Moulin Rouge, although it doesn't have much to see. That afternoon rained a lot so we spent it at Galeries Lafayette. I suggest you go inside to see the dome. When it stopped raining we saw the Opera Garnier.

DAY 8

Nuestro último día volvíamos a Madrid en un vuelo a las 9 de la noche así que nos quedaba toda la mañana libre. Madrugamos mucho y fuimos directos a visitar el Louvre por dentro. Pudimos ver la Mona Lisa, la Victoria de Samotracia y un montón de obras de arte. La verdad es que es un museo muy muy grande. Os recomiendo que vayáis lo más pronto que podáis porque se llena de gente muy rápido, pero merece la pena verlo por dentro. Tampoco tengo fotos del outfit de este día 😖 Y ya con esto terminó nuestro viaje a París. 

In our last day we were flying back to Madrid at 9pm so we got the whole morning free. We got up very early to visit the Louvre. We could see the Mona Lisa and a lot of paintings. I would suggest you go as early as you can because it gets crowded pretty soon, but it's worth seeing it. I don't have outfits of this day either 😖 And that's everything of our trip!

Sin duda ha sido un viaje inolvidable, y estoy deseando volver!!

It was an unforgettable trip and I really want to come back!
